Monique S. Larmond
Partner
Monique S. Larmond is a founding partner of Givens & Larmond Law Group. She began her career as a litigator, and transitioned to transactional law, focused on forming businesses entities, drafting and reviewing contracts, securing brand protection and working on various other business transactions for her clients.
Briana M. Givens
Partner
Briana M. Givens is a founding partner of Givens & Larmond Law Group. She represents clients in personal injury matters who sustain serious injuries. Ms. Givens has extensive experience in automobile accidents, sexual assault matters, premises liability, products liability, and pharmaceutical class action lawsuits.

Attorney Monique Larmond is a co-founder of Givens & Larmond Law Group, who is licensed to practice law in the states of California and New York. She began her legal career as a litigator and transitioned to transactional law, focused in commercial real estate and business transactions, which includes representing clients in business and real estate transactions, with an emphasis in contract drafting for commercial sales and leasing, business formations and operation of various types of business entities, and protecting brand ownership through trademark registrations. Ms. Larmond has helped numerous entrepreneurs to form their businesses, insulate their businesses, and protect their brands. She is passionate about helping others to secure generational wealth through business and real estate. More recently, Ms. Larmond has further helped the firm’s family law clients to secure and protect their personal assets through pre-martial and martial settlement agreements.
Ms. Larmond earned her Juris Doctorate with cum laude honors from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in May of 2017. While in law school, Ms. Larmond was the Managing Editor for the Thomas Jefferson Law Review, alongside her business partner, Briana Givens, where they made history as the first all black women managing board in California. She also completed a judicial externship with the Honorable John A. Houston, a United States Federal District Court Judge, where she had multiple opinions published. Additionally, Ms. Larmond volunteered with the Small Business Law Clinic where she received substantial client service and contract drafting skills to best help small businesses.
Ms. Larmond earned her Masters in Business Management with a concentration in Sports from Manhatanville College and her Bachelors in Economics from the State University of New York, Binghamton University. Ms. Larmond is licensed to practice law in California. She is a committee member of the San Diego Lawyer’s Club, the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Association, the Real Property Law Section of the San Diego Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association-Solo/Small firm section, and the John M. Langston Bar Association of Los Angeles. Ms. Larmond is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Ms. Larmond is a New York City native with Jamaican roots. Her family immigrated to the states in the late 80’s. They have always pushed her and encouraged her to work hard and shoot for the stars, which is how she became the first attorney in her family. When she’s not working, she enjoys exploring the beautiful views of Southern California, cooking delicious Jamaican meals and spending time with her loved ones.

Attorney Briana M. Givens is a founding partner of Givens & Larmond Law Group. She represents clients in personal injury matters who sustain serious injuries. Ms.Givens has extensive experience in automobile accidents, sexual assault matters, premises liability, products liability, and pharmaceutical class action lawsuits.
Prior to starting Givens & Larmond Law Group, Ms. Givens was selected as a Diversity Fellow through the San Diego County Bar Association’s Diversity Fellowship Program. Ms. Givens did her fellowship as a law clerk at defense firm Andrews Lagasse Branch & Bell LLP where she gained experience defending corporations in employment lawsuits. Thereafter, Ms. Givens was hired as a law clerk and associate attorney at one of the top personal injury firms in San Diego, Casey Gerry. Ms. Givens represented clients with catastrophic injuries in complex litigation matters. Briana has settled multi-million dollar lawsuits against the government and large corporations.
Ms. Givens earned her Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. During law school, she published her law review Note and was elected as the Executive editor of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review. Ms. Givens and her Managing Board peers made history when they became The First All Black Women Law Review Managing Board in California.
Ms. Givens graduated cum laude from the University of California, Riverside. While at UCR, she worked for AmeriCorps and the UCR Recreation Center while being a full-time student. She also received an Associate’s Degree from Cerritos College.
Ms. Givens is first-generation Mexican American and Black woman. Her mother is from Mexico. She was born and raised in Palm Springs, California and has lived throughout southern California. She speaks Spanish and enjoys playing basketball and watching sports.
